Animal Husbandry Technician

KC has been in the marine mammal field for over 8 years. From working in outreach and education as a naturalist on the water, she transitioned to rehabilitating sea lions, seals, and sea otters in Monterey. 

She has a bachelor's degree in Marine Science from the University of Hawaii and a master’s degree in Marine Biology from Bangor University. While studying, she focused on marine mammal population ecology, always knowing she’d step back into the rescue and rehabilitation community. Since then she has worked along the West Coast from Alaska down to Southern California in marine mammal response, rescue, and rehabilitation.
